“Spirit Mask” 2-Day Mask-Making Workshop with Elizabeth Gayles

On this mask-making journey, we discover how the mask is a portal to different parts of Self. Sometimes it is a part we are ready to relinquish; other times is a part of Self waiting to be revealed. We can also make a mask to mark a birth or death, a new year, a new season. We can make them for the simple joy of the process. No experience necessary. Join us for this 2-session workshop as we make masks for healing, joy, empowerment, and fun.

Poetic Expressions! A Monthly Poetry Salon Featured Poets & Open Mic

Open Mic poets may sign up at 6:45 to read 1-2 poems (depending on the number). We will have 5-7 slots available.

Poetic Expressions! provides a venue for seasoned and emerging poets to share their works and have fun. Each month, we will feature local poets and offer a time for Open Mic. Improv poetry is also welcome, as well as “Poetry in Motion.” CD player available.

Poems should be positive, sacred, inspiring, and uplifting exploring all the many aspects of Life and living. Join us as we allow the Creative to flow in a fun, safe, environment. Suggested Love Donation: $10-$15 (no one ever turned away for lack of funds) n.

“Sounds of JOY!” Chorus Rehearsals. We do warm up exercises, vocalizing/toning, and practice songs. No experience necessary, just a desire to sing and have fun with a great group of people! We sing all types of songs, some you may even hear on the radio. The chorus calls the type of music they sing “Interfaith Pop.” The Chorus sings on the last Sunday of each month. Cost: Free. ~ One Light Interfaith Seminary ~

One Light Interfaith Seminary offers an innovative 18-month intensive interfaith ministerial program for those who are called to a non-denominational, interfaith ministry, whether in community, in the pulpit, or as a Chaplain.

Our first class will begin in January 9-11, 2009. Classes will be held on the 2nd weekend of each month, on a Friday evening, all day Saturday, and Sunday Afternoons. Friday evenings from 6pm – 9pm, and Saturdays from 10am – 5pm. Sundays mornings are dedicated to visiting various faith communities and/or assisting with Sunday services at ASLC and other churches and spiritual centers. Sunday afternoons we meet as a group from 1pm – 4pm.
